Excursions
The Amalfi coast stretches along the southern side of the Sorrento
Peninsula. It is, no doubt, one of the most suggestive location of the Campania
region and one of the most beautiful coastline in Europe. The charm of the Amalfi
coast can be enjoyed in all seasons of the year. After pleasant and relaxing beach
activities and excursions, visitors can taste typical local specialties.
Coming from the Sorrento Peninsula, the first
town of the Amalfi coast is Positano, with its pastel colored houses perched on
the high cliff; continuing along the road you can reach the picturesque town of
Praiano. Amalfi is the most famous town of the coast and Ravello is known for its
spectacular views. Not to miss: Atrani, a small village along the Dragone river,
Minori, with the remains of the ancient Roman Villa, Maiori, with its wide promenade,
Cetara, a small fishing village, and Vietri sul
Mare, famous for its colored ceramics.
The Locanda del Fiordo organizes boat trips, during which local fishermen will teach
you both to catch and to cook the fishes.
The Locanda del Fiordo also organizes guided trip (by sea, by walk or by land) along
the Amalfi coast or to Pompeii, Capri, Sorrento, Herculaneum, Vesuvius and Naples.
